Art and design education at Camberwell Grammar School acknowledges the value of critical, analytical and visual thinking in preparing students for tomorrow’s world by encouraging imagination, flexibility, adaptability and risk-taking. In both the process of making and analysing artwork in historical and contemporary contexts, students can realise its power to inspire change through creativity and innovation.
Students work in outstanding facilities across eight purpose-built art, ceramics and design and technology studios, participate in visits to public, private and artist run gallery spaces as well as collaborating with visiting artists in residence. Students can also attend evening art classes and the biennial Cultural Tour to France (offered to boys in Years 10 and 11). Student work is celebrated at exhibitions in our dedicated David Williams Gallery and is often selected for Top Arts and Top Designs.
