Biennial Concert at Hamer Hall 2024
On Monday 9 September, our School community gathered at Hamer Hall for the magnificent Biennial Concert, a moving tribute to the School’s vibrant music program.
The concert was a resounding success, leaving lasting memories for everyone involved. The evening featured diverse musical performances, all delivered with passion and professionalism by our talented students. One of the most powerful moments of the evening was the massed singing, with every student coming together in a united performance. It was a striking demonstration of the strength and spirit of our community.
For Headmaster Dr Paul Hicks, this year’s concert held special significance as it marked his final Biennial Concert before his retirement. An emotional highlight was Dr Hicks conducting Anthem from Chess, the School’s unofficial anthem. Reflecting on the event, he praised the students' enthusiasm and the incredible quality of the performances. 'The range of music, the extraordinary quality of the performances, and the enthusiasm and joy the students demonstrated as they performed all contributed to a very special evening.'
Head of Music, Mr Ben Bishop, and our dedicated music teachers and staff were instrumental in making the night an unforgettable celebration of talent and commitment. Congratulations to all involved in this spectacular evening of music and community.
