Student Leadership 2025

Introducing our 2025 student leaders! These students will be guiding and inspiring our student community this year. Each student has a dedicated portfolio to which they will be applying their vision and enthusiasm as they carry out their role throughout the year. Congratulations to all of our Student Leadership Team appointed for this year. We look forward to seeing the impact they’ll make in 2025!

Hear from our School Captain Charlie (on right), and Vice Captain Adam (on left)

What are you most looking forward to with regard to your role as Captain and Vice Captain?

Charlie:

What I’m most looking forward to the most is getting to meet and work with an extensive range of students and staff. From reading to the junior school kids all the way to the important staff meeting, I’m just very excited to put myself everywhere and meet all the incredible people at this school.

Adam:

I’m very much looking forward to immersing myself in and contributing across the many disciplines groups at Camberwell that I perhaps would not otherwise be involved in, such as the Junior and Middle School.

What do you look forward to contributing?

Charlie:

I hope to contribute by encouraging students what it means to embody the values and the spirit of the school. But to be more specific, I’d like to expand on the movement of incorporating more student voice, as well as finding ways to bridge different year levels together.

    Adam:

I’d like to make an impact by helping younger students to understand the culture of Camberwell by making their journeys as enjoyable as mine have been – for example passing on traditions of the First XI or encouraging participation in House Music/charities etc.

What in your view makes Camberwell Grammar School unique?

    Charlie:

I find Camberwell Grammar so unique with how many various activities and events we run and how engaged our students are in these fields. Not just on the sports ground and the orchestras, but countless other groups and communities like our cadets, sustainability team, and just so many more with kids that are truly passionate about what they're doing.

    Adam:

Camberwell is a special place due to its unrivalled music program that defines our community, with mass involvement in singing and biennial concerts that are extraordinary events, particularly to reflect upon. I’ve been fortunate to also be involved in sporting programs such as the ADP, EAP and First Teams, proving the school's fantastic resources across disciplines.

What event or aspect of the school do you love the most?

      Charlie:

My favourite aspect of the school would have to be either performing in the music concerts or acting and performing in the musical productions.

      Adam:

School sport for me is the pinnacle of school life. Nothing matches playing alongside your schoolmates each weekend on a quest for the ultimate prize, an AGSV Premiership, which I was fortunate enough to be involved in 2023.
