David has been a financial adviser for 32 years and in his own practice since 1989, before merging, listing, and monetising in 2014. He has been consulting to the financial advisory industry since then. He holds the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner™ designation, which is the highest designation within the industry, and is an immediate past director of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).
David is a founding trustee of the Future2 Foundation (supporting young Australians whose lives are disadvantaged by poverty, homelessness or drug dependence), and lectured at the Securities Institute of Australia (now FINSIA) for six years.
A past student of the School, David has been on the School Council since 2012 and is currently Chair of the Finance Committee and Deputy Chair of Council as well as President of the CGS Foundation.
